The trip is over. The bike is now in storage and ready for shiment back, and we’re at the airport waiting for a plane to DC and contemplating the reality that we’ll be returning to work tomorrow. It was a fantastic journey, and without a doubt it was the going, and not the getting there, that was the most fun. We hope you enjoyed the blog. We sure enjoyed reading the comments and emails we received along the way. Already starting to think about the next adventure.
WOO HOO!! We made it to San Francisco - 3544.2 miles!! Look real hard and you can see the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.
Unfortunately, the freeway was up to 12 lanes at times and moved briskly-there were many diamond making moments.
OK - some of you have asked us about diamond-making……..READ NO FURTHER IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW!!! Diamond making occurs when a piece of coal is placed in the crevice of one’s anatomy. During times of extreme fear the coal is squeezed so tightly that it turns into a diamond!
